Dear Lasleys,
For the past couple of years I have been working on "my" Lasley family genealogy. Pretty much all I know can be found at:

if anyone is interested. I have reached a brick wall trying to gather any information about my great grandfather, James Preston Lasley/Leslie before 1855 when he married Sarah Jane Austin in Posey Co., IN. He was supposedly born in KY ca. 1834. My most promising leads at this point are two different James Lasleys in Nelson Co. KY who show to be 16 on the 1850 census which would be the correct age., but I've been unable to develop anything about them to possibly show one of them might be "my" James P. Lasley. I am very eager to develop more information, but am simply at a dead end and have been so for a year. Any ideas, suggestions, or help will be very sincerely appreciated.
