To Gordon Lasslett.
Your name was mentioned to me so I was wondering if you could help me please. Do you know anything about Albert Laslett born 1868 in Kent. He joined the Royal Navy on March 18th 1883 and served on the HMS Duke of Wellington. Albert married Isabella Taylor on 10th December 1992 and sailed six days later on the Royal Mail Steamer Cuzco for Australia where for two years he was Ships steward onboard HMS Mildura at Sydney. I know he was in the 1914-1918 war and ended back in England. He somehow rejoined the RN, being finally de-mobolised on 6th June 1921 as a Victualling Chief Petty Officer. I think he died in England. He was my Great Grandfathers brother and I would like to know if possible more about his family when they came to Australia. I myself live in NSW and would appreciate a little bit of help.
