Yup - the Laslett's originally came from Cheshire, and moved down to Kent (Orpington, St Pauls Cray? and Sandwich), and onwards from there.

I live in Manchester and am fairly uninformed, but my Father (Barry Laslett) has traced the family back a very, very long way.

I was startled to see another David Laslett on this Forum!
I thought I was aaallll alone... spooky.
