I can't give you any information regarding your great-grandmother's direct line, but I can confirm that Elizabeth Turner Laskey married Thomas Bastard in Minster, Kent on the 1st September 1796. Elizabeth was baptised in St Hilary, Cornwall 2nd January 1768. She had a sister, Jennifer, baptised 3rd Feb 1766 in Feock, Cornwall. Jennifer later married James Marten in Trevalga, Cornwall 14th March 1786. Jennifer and Elizabeth's parents were William and Sarah Laskey. I cannot trace their marriage details, but I really haven't been looking for them. There is either more than one William around at that time or this may have been his second marriage, but this would only be conjecture. There is a tenuous link to Altarnun. Grace Laskey married John Hender there on 12th December 1752. I have no line on Grace incidentally. Altarnun is a very small village in Cornwall and Richard and Jael also being married there would seem to be more than coincidence.
Turner is a name indeed linked to the Laskey family. Malachi Laskey married Hannah Turner 22nd January 1761 in Feock, Cornwall. Their descending line often included the name Turner as a christian name which was common practice in those days. I have more information on their offspring if you wish me to forward them to you.
Hope this may be of assistance.
John Laskey
