Gwen,
Noticed your response to a Lasater researcher and your reference to a Daniel J. E. Lasater caught my attention.
While not related to this family, I am doing some research on a Robert H. Lasater, son of Daniel J. E. Lasater and Elizabeth? This Robert or "R.H." Lasater was living in the Tarrant/Dallas County Texas area by 1879/1880 and had some land dealings with my ancestor John G. Crowson.
Using Texas Death Certificates, I find that “R.H.“ or Robert H. Lasater was the son of Daniel Lasater. He was born 16 Aug 1853 in McMinnville?, TN.
He and Mildred Prince married and had at least 4 children per death certs: Ida E. (Lasater) Hutton born November 13, 1879, Robert Lafayette Lasater born April 15, 1891, Leonard Ford Lasater, born August 22, 1895, and Eugene Paul Lasater born September 18, 1898.
1900-1910 Dallas County, Prec 4 census shows Robert and Mildred’s additional children:Edwin W. Lasater-27, Winnie C. Lasater-12, Mary F. Lasater-22.A Myrtle M. Lasater-19, is listed as a “daughter-in-law”.
On December 2, 1914, Mildred S. (Prince) Lasater, died in Lawson, Dallas County, Texas.
Robert…who is later known as Dr. Robert H. Lasater, would marrya woman named Elvira Templeton. He would die Feb 19, 1940 in Dallas, Dallas Co, Texas at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 3 days and was reportedly buried at the Lee Cemetery, Seagoville, Dallas Co, Tx. next to Mildred.
Would like to correspond with you if you are interested.
