It might not have been Mary Austin who sent in the information to the Primitive Baptist Church. It might have been Jeremiah Larkins. He and Keturah Hailey were in Illinois at the time of William E.Larkins death. Jeremiah might have notified the church when they got information from Monroe or Rachel Reed Larkins. Since the church knew that Rachel came from Pennsylvania and they were married in Pennsylvania they might have assumed that William E. Larkins was born in Pennsylvania too. Rachel Reed Larkins knew where he was born so wrote Tennessee on her applications and censuses and the mortality schedule.
