The little bit of information I have on Hester was one child that I know of that she had with husband Benjamin Rowe. Her name was Marzee Rowe and married Robert Felix Croom. Marzee was born 18 Dec 1863 in New Hanover County (now Pender) and she died in New Hanover County on 19 Mar 1945. She was buried in a family cemetery in Pender County, but I do not know where this cemetery is. They had several children: Mary E. Croom b. Oct. 1882, Sarah A. Croom b. Aug. 1886, James C. Croom b. Mar. 1889, Robert L. Croom b. May 1894, Bessie Croom b. Oct. 1899, Lucy L. Croom b. 1891, George Washington Croom b. Aug. 1902 and d. 21 Jun 1983 in Wilmington, NC, Alice Croom b. 1905.
George was married twice and had several children whom are still living. I only know the youngest and only one he had with his 2nd wife. He fathered this child at the age of 65 and his wife was 35.
