Further back we go, we are all related, but your correct on both accounts..as to the past identification of the families. I have them as O'Larcan in Ireland..I have them as possibly part of the McClaren family in Scotland, and they may be part of the English (Planegent) Crown along with the Lawson in northern England where William the Conquor first went to, he was from Normany, France and Rome pror..and an Masonic Templar knight perhaps also or at least brought many of those tradesmen with him, particularly the Piercy/Purcell families of Rosslynn Chapel...whom owned the last of the
pigrimage stops in their crusades of purification to be an Templar Knight. This is an long story I can not get into right now...still under some research also. The play in the "Lawrence" name is an old one, way before most geneolagy records wer better defined, I am sure there must be soemthing to it or there would of been no "Lawrence Washington" at one time...the Washingotn family were neighors between all three countries and held tremedous power..its said so much so that William the Conquor came up to their border and stopped. In England the name is Wessington instead of Washington as over here. Hoep this helps a bit. You might want to check out whom named the St. Lawrence River also...as to an nice reference point to he name here in the states. "Coast to coast had an tablet of Swedes in the area may of been Templar knight's way back in history..they left an message in stone. For our Larkisn family..we have none name "Lawrence" in any form or fashion that I am aware of right now..but as I said, furhter back you go, the more related we can be. Now see, I would read this name as "son of the Law"..which equals the same word for law as "authority" back in those days and my Lawson's took on their name from being high sheriff's of Northcumberland in England after they were ousted as the Plangent rulers of the English Crown during the War of Roses. Roland Lawson now has this Plangent family lineafes in order now to the Lawson's on line just type in his name in google. Rolfe (Ralph) was the Conquorer's son, his place of resident (castle) was just outside London, near Reading, England.
