I am aware of some of this, you can check out Rowland Lawson genealogy as he has the lineage back to Edward the I on-line now, (goggle his name) and through the Bough(ham) Hall..Rowland may of been named after "Rolfe" the son of William the conqueror. As you know his residence was out of near by London, also known as Reading, England, if you will take note the William Larkin in Massachesetts and there were two of them, were said from Reading, England prior. I don't know all the people as of yet connected to the London Company...to claarify some of the names better. Someone did this recently in my England web site and that "Richard" may not of killed the boys but inserted two servant boys in place of them in the tower of London...and banished them to another country..getting sent across the ocean back then to many people was an kind of death sentence you know. There have been different suggested theories. My thinking is if they came over here, that they did so through the "Ogle" family...or Othglethorpe perhaps. We first ran into him in the Scottish lineage of this Robert Lawson-Planegent group..most of them became the name of "pleasant" over here, as well as "Royal" or Roye. But Rowland Lawson has the entire line from England concerning this... and this line in England still exits as far as I know. It does make for interesting reading though, as they often simply banished them to "America" if they got in the way, easier then trying to fight them all I guess...not to mention that if they didn't inter-marry cousins that they did other foreign dignitaries...so they tread not on some people's feet if married into the Lawson line. Actually the "Law-son" name came from Northcumberland because an "Richard" in the family in the area there..and many of them were high sheriff's. Are you familiar with "amesty" rights over in England?...as they had this thing about swearing alligence to God in an church could keep you safe from your enemies, as the church then had jurisdiction over you...not its Government. Are you familiar with this William Largent/Larkin that was over there an high justice that sat on the King's bench at one time? I take it that the name of Willam comes from William the Conqueror to begin with. The Wheelers in the the Massachusetts line are all over into my notes...all sides too! It's my own personal feeling that the Larkin, Martin and Lawson were at one time cousins. I found the Rhode Island Edward Larkin when I went there receiving his land grant through his "Sweet" family in-law's as "Martin" (spelled Manton)to begin with, at least the land lot was the same at any rate. They have for an long time said that they could never find an connection to the Edward Larkin of Massachusetts...but you should know that the "Templar Knights" sent their guildeman's to establish all area's before they did the people. They were "Master" tradesmen of their day. Kind of like us sending astronaunts to the moon before we do the citizens. There were Martin's connected to the early Jamestown plantations though. I beleive that Martin name there was also "Marston" and this parish became Bruton Parish church and it was indeed an Lawson family church as Marston. I have already identified an unknown grave for the Williamsburg Foundation through my own research work...all that was left of it were intials and death date...and nicely rewarded with free passes for everyone in my company while back there. The Lawson family has done well at hiding in ways from "authority" connected to King Richard in ways..but they are hardly extinct. To help you just look at all the ones burned at the stake for beign witches to begin with by the crown. The maternal line of the Lawson in England is Rogers and Smith also. It reminds me of this Native American I ran into, whom told me his grandparents were from the Mollala Indian Tribe, and they are "extinct", it says so in this encyclopedia book... he looked at me and said we just incorporated ourselves into the Warm Springs and Kalamath tribes through marriage, but we are not extinct. I'm your living proof of that one. Do I look like I'm "dead" to you? One of the Lawson neighbors over in this northern region of England was the Washington family as "Wessington" and that's on-line. As powerful as was any of the Planegnets I understand. I just finsihed reading an book about the Templar Knights also, as many of them connected to each other were Mason's. Maybe that's how they came up with Marston Parish..and while English Robert Lawson was an Scottish name. On his coat of arms, there are the four birds for four brothers, I can only find another one besides Robert's line...over there. The bird on the coat of arms looks much like that of the Martin and the Larkin family also. They also had numerous Castle's all over the different countries beside just England. The planegent family home in Scotland was near Endenburg(sp?)I understand..."Robert" is exclusively and Scottish name after Robert the Bruce, whom the Wessington's put into power in their area fo Scotland that they owned back then. If your local Library has an book called "Colonial Families of America" you'll find many of the in-laws and those related in it. I wonder whom the Jane Larcombe is that is associated with my Lawson also. I take it after the first immigrations into Jamestown, many of these "adventurers" as they were called went to Boston also "off an on" after it was founded, esp the special tradesmen that were Masonic Lodge templar knight affilated. One of them is the Ball/Baloi family of Normany France, and I have them in Larkin records and Washington records also..they got to England with William the Conquorer.. they may had something to do with Edward larkin in that instance..that also in ways. Actually I think they were over here way back when the "Lost Colony" of North Carolina people stepped on shore. From that came Sir Walter Raleigh introducing the "Potato" to Ireland, at the Castle Matrix, and also to the rest of the world also. This castle was one of the castle's that Queen Elizabeth confiscated, she paid an visit to Reading , England, and "Rolf's castle befroe taking off ..later on Matrix Castle was an "stop-over" to the first waves of immigrations of the Methodist religion also. You will find your "oglethorpe" family involved with that and I think maybe Benjamin Larkins ship called "The Anne" I can tell you numberous interplays but it's to lengthy an post as it is right now. I think the English have accepted that there might be an connection though. They don't deny it. "Politics is politics" you know. Notify Administrator about this message?
