I was reading your posts about the Lark family in SC and we may be related. I was wondering if you have located any new info on them that you would be willing to share with me?
My husband's family is related to Joseph Lark Robison, b.1803 in Barnwell, SC. He had 2 sons named William & Raford & 2 daughters Sarah Cordelia & one unknown, with his 1st wife Susan Miller.
Mary(Sarah) Lark (b.Abt 1743, m.Abt 1768,d.South Carolina) was the 3rd wife of William Robison. One of her sons was Lark Robison. (I have not made the connection between Lark Robison and Joseph Lark Robison yet, but I believe it is there somewhere. If he is not his son, he is probably his cousin)
There is a lot of info on the Robison's (William & his brother George)who settled in the Orangeburg District of SC.
The names are very redundant & they married cousins. George's son (also a George) married Lark's younger sister.
I found a Lark Robison(26-44yrs)with a wife & 7 sons & 1 daughter the 1810 Barnwell, SC census. He is old enough to be the same Lark Robison (Mary's son)
There is a Robert Lark on the same page, about 11 names above Lark Robison. Robert was in the 16-25 yr bracket & had a wife (15-25)& 1 son under 10 yrs.
I believe that Robert Lark is somehow related to Mary Lark He is too young to have been her brother, but could be a nephew or cousin.
