Dr. Joseph Lariviere
Looking for Information on Dr. Joseph Lariviere, listed in the 1880 as living in Lincoln, Providence Rhode Island.Married to Hermine and had one daughter Evangeline.I cannot find any other trace of him with the exception of the following I pulled off a web site:
Joseph Lariviere was a physician at 16 Division Street in the Manville section of Lincoln, RI circa 1877.
He put out his own Female Health Regulator which was actually a nerve tonic. He claimed that a tablespoon of his regulator taken before meals gave strength, stoppedpain, and facilitated digestion, and was the best heart, stomach, liver, and kidney regulator around. He was also proprietor of a Female Porous Plaster which he considered the best in the world for women. By sending 25ยข in stamps he would send it to you with full information and certificates concerning this marvelous remedy.
In 1877, William N, Orcutt, formerly of Woonsocket, moved to Manville and opened William N. Orcutt, Pharmacists, and began manufacturing Dr. Lariviere's female Health Regulator.
Dr. Lariviere was listed as a physician only until 1903.
Any help would be appreciated.
