Sorry, I can't help you on that one. I heard several years aga there was a Larimore-Zumwalt connection, but I don't have anything on it.The only Larrimores in Arkansas during that time was James & Richard that I know of.James had a child in Green Co. KY in 1817 - James Jackson Larremore that ended up in Llano County Texas. After James Jackson was born, James & his family made the migration from Green County to Crawford County, and that history is a little vague. I do have he and second wife had a daughter (Martha) that was born 8-18-1827 in Crawford County Arkansas, and that was 10 years between children. So it is possible they made have had additional children between 1817-1827.Richard moved through Arkansas a little earlier than James, They left Kentucky about 1814-1815 and by 1818 they had moved through Arkansas to Crawford County Arkansas and across the border to FranklinCounty Missouri and had he last child I have listed there in 1818. They moved on from there to Morgan County (toward Illinois) and on to Illinois and back to Morgan County before settling there. My GGGrand Father Obediah moved from there back to Crawford county about 1830, so I don't think it would have been any of that branch. There was another Larrimore (Samuel Green Larrimore) that moved through Crawford County on to Missoui and settled in Nebraska. That was the Larimore that the town of Larimore South Dakota was named after. I don't have anything on that family, but a burial location for a couple in Crawford County (they returned there when they retired in Nebraska). It is possible that Harriet was a daughter of his.Seems like there was a Doctor Larimore in the Chicago area that was from this line. I'll try to find what I had on that family. Back a few years ago someone else ask me if I could connect the Larimore-Zumwalt and I said I had something on them, but I never found the notes. Guess you know how that goes.Hope this help. You can contact me by e-mail if you want. [email protected] haven't been getting a message when you posted a note in Genforum, just happened upon it when I was surfing the internet.
Good hunting,
Ron Lairamore
