You wrote: My grandparents must have died after the last child in 1893 or she wouldn't have been with my grandfathers sister who raised the 3 children. Joseph, Beulah, and Bell Millissey(spelled wrong) was my great grandfather's sister. I had already found 1900 census. Her maiden name was Hill. The one I can't find anything on is my great grandfather and his Indian wife. I don't know why they took 2 census in the same month? I found the Hill family on the 1880 census. There were Melissa (she used the nickname Millissey) and your Thomas! It is so unfortunate there is NO 1890 census as a fire destroyed that century's census records. Only a scattered number of records were spared. 1900 United States Federal Census about Millissey A Moore c. 1869 Same age as the 1880 census! Great match...birthplace is AR! The "Early History of Pope County" by David Vance lists Absalom as one of the early settlers of Pope County. Shinn's "Pioneers and makers of Arkansas" page 144 also lists Absalom Sims. There is evidence that Absalom Sims and family , may have accompanied the Rev. Mahlon Bewley from Northwest Alabama to Pope County , as they arrived about the same time. Absalom's will dated April 2nd, 1861 and probated Feb. 27th, 1863 indicates that his wife is still alive, but she was not listed on the 1870 Pope County Census. Marriages in Pope County, Ark.
