Hi Bonita. Haven't been avoiding you. Am in the middle of our kitchen renewal and that takes priority over all else!!! You have asked for the hard part and probably the best answer will be the marriage record if you can ever find it. I have done as much digging on this as I can and would like to suggest the following. Your Belle Hill and siblings were located in Choctaw Nation/Indian Territory in the 1900 census living with Enoch and Millisey Moore on page 187B. On page 187A is a Charley A. Hill born in Arkansas (as was Beulah) who COULD be their uncle. I back traced Charles A. Hill to the 1880 census in Logan County, Arkansas. I THINK tis is the family you want but give my usual disclaimer. "The following info. is for you to prove and is my conjecture only". 1880 census, Logan County, Ark. Auston Hill, age 62, born in Kentucky which I think is wrong. Probably should be Alabama. Martha J. Hill, 52, Alabama Charles A. Hill, 17, Ark. Thomas A. Hill, 16, Ark. Frances E. Hill, 13, Ark., female Molissa A. Hill, 11, Ark. I believe that Thomas A. Hill is the male you are looking for. The Ancestry database shows that a Thomas A. Hill married Mary Hinch on 15 May 1884 in Sebastian County, Ark. Logan and Sebastian Counties share a border so I THINK this is the couple that you are looking for. My guess is that somehow they both died between 1896 when Dicie was born and the 1900 census. I THINK that the above Molissa A. Hill is the same woman that married Enoch Moore and this would produce the fact of the Hill kids living with him as being his nieces and nephew. So. I would suggest you contact someone in Sebastian County, Arkansas for the marriage record and further info. Best I can do for you. Yours. Randy Largent Notify Administrator about this message?
