I descend from Jesse and Mary Edwards Lard by way of Thomas and Susie Parkman Lard.Thomas and Susie Lard are buried in Scott Co. MS in what started as the New Chapel Primitive Baptist Cemetery but is now known as the Warren Family Cemetery. Abraham Laird, older brother of Thomas Lard, is buried in Union Line Cemetery, Jones Co. MS.Their younger brother, Victor E. Lard is buried in Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery, Lincoln Co. MS.
I interpret Timothy Lard's birth in KY as an indication the Lard family came to MS in 1805/1806 by way of a flatboat on one of the Tennessee Rivers , Cumberland or Tennessee, to the Ohio River to the Mississippi River and down to Natchez.
