George Louis Laraby b 1898 or 99

Hi'
Was I surprised to find Laraby on the Surname list. Like you, we only know Laraby's that are related to us, and not to many of those.
My husband's grandfather was George Louis Laraby. We think he was from PN, and moved to Idaho in the 30's. His son was Forest Leslie Laraby b 1913, we don't know where. My husband is Johnnie Leslie Laraby b 1944. We have 3 Laraby sons. The name lives on.
We were told that our name was originally spelled Larrabbee. That there was a mix up with mail with George and his brother and so George changed the spelling.
It's nice to know we're not the only Laraby's in the USA.
Sincerely
Mary Cox-Laraby
