Larabys in Ontario and Vermont

Been looking at all the messages in the Laraby Family Genealogy Form and I too have the same problem as everyone else, I can't trace them back. My ggg Grandmother was Laura Jane Laraby, b. 9 Mar 1846, in Champlain, New York, maybe Vermont. Her mother was Clarissa Thompson and her Grandmother Thompson had a farm in Vermont. Don't know her father's name. Her sisters and brother were Lavina, Clarissa, a nurse, Mathilda who became Mrs. Dyche, moved to New Zealand with her husband, both died there. John, lived in Buffalo, took "grippe" and died in his early thirties. Eliza, and Emroy, also called Emma who never married and went to live in Montreal. I know some of the names and places are similar to others on the message board, maybe some connection. Laura married William Crawford in 1862 in Ontario, Canada. How she ended up there I don't know but to Laraby families in Vermont, New York and Ontario seem to have some common connection, I just can't put a finger on it. Hope to hear from someone, Dan Cook
