I too am descended from Benjamin LaPrade in Pittsylvania county. His son Samuel which I'm still trying to prove.
GenI Andrew LaPrade B:1624 in France\ Died 1765(will probated 5 Oct. 1765 in chesterfield co. Va. Andrew's 1st wife Ann and Son Andrew Jr. died and buried 8-9 feb 1726 Bruton Parrish, Williamsburg Va. His 2nd wife was Elizabeth Horner. Children found at Huguenot Society Manakin Town in Va. were: Andrew(2) married Martha Flournoy/ John married Anne Williams/ Marta married Gideon Hatcher/ Rachell married?? and Benjamin Born 1731 Chesterfield co. Va. married UNKNOWN- some say Sally. In 1758 Andrew gave son Benjamin land, 100 acres on Hundred Rd. Chesterfield Co.Va. (there is still a Hundred Rd. there and the Creek named in the boundries) He was known to be in Pittsylvania co. Va. by 1770/ 1790 census lists Benjamin as being in Pittsylvania. Plus several other accounts. I have not found wife or children.
My gen. goes to Samuel who married Jane Campbell 16 aug. 1796.
The LaPrade family was of Huguenot descent and name is on list of settlers in Manakin Town Va. Hope this helps some. If I come across anything else, I'll post it to you.
