I am a descendent of Samuel Lapp and Esther Hershey. My line is Samuel Lapp, to Abraham H. Lapp, to George Samuel Lapp, to Jesse John Lapp to Orville Victor Lapp who is my father.

There doesn't seem to be a lot of information available online for this family. I would enjoy hearing from anyone about them (especially information about the family prior to 1844 when they immigrated from Canada). I have quite a lot of information and research time in this line and I am happy to share with others.

What I know in general is that Samuel and Ester migrated from Upper Canada to Freeport Illinois area with their children. Many family members moved to Shelby county Missouri where Christian H. Lapp became a minister in the "Church of the Brethern". Many family members moved to Miami, New Mexico. My line moved to Colorado and to Washington State.

Your grandmother, Hattie Viola Lapp was daughter to Martin S. Lapp (bDecember 26, 1826-dSeptember 21, 1901) and Sarah Jane Kryder (bApril 12, 1833-dSeptember 26, 1899). Martin was the son of Samuel Lapp (1803-1877) and Esther Hershey (1806-1883). Martin had 13 known siblings:
1. Daniel Lapp (Unknown)
2. Benjamin H. Lapp (January 04, 1826-February 13, 1897)
3. Martin S. Lapp (December 26, 1826-September 21, 1901)
4. Elizabeth Lapp (November 21, 1828-Unknown)
5. Samuel H. Lapp (May 06, 1830-Unknown)
6. Abraham H. Lapp (October 10, 1831-May 17, 1925)
7. Christian H. Lapp (November 20, 1833-November 06, 1914)
8. John H. Lapp (May 03, 1836-Unknown)
9. Nancy Lapp (October 21, 1837-Unknown)
10. David Lapp (June 15, 1840-September 11, 1878)
11. Isaac Lapp (October 04, 1841-November 20, 1903)
12. Jacob Lapp (April 19, 1844-Unknown)
13. Joseph Lapp (August 17, 1845-September 15, 1927)
14. Esther Lapp (November 26, 1848-Unknown)

I look forward to hearing from you both.
