Dear Yvonne, I just saw your message on the LAPLANTE forum. My Grandfather, Fred (Wilfred) W GIRARD, was the son of Pierre GIRARD and Marie Lerige dit LaPLANTE (PLANTE). Marie was the daughter of Jean-Baptiste LAPLANTE and Emerence Dupuis. Married 29 Aug 1864, Montreal (Notre-Dame) I just recently found this information on the GIRARD Forum. Is this the same family?
