Janet: Been busy here lately, have not had the chance to do much on the Laplante stuff; You mentioned sending your Laplante info; I have my direct paternal line back to Angoulême ,France; been there twice so far. The city has a long history going back to beyond 375 AD; There has been a cathedral there since that date; not always the same building but never the less the site has had a catholic connection since the church's very early days. The whole area is steeped in historical lore, having been in the path of the crusaders, and before that the roman conquest of the Gauls. Re the Laplantes: I want to ultimately bring all the siblings in the ancestry into my file ; so your Laplante info might be useful to me in some way ; I'm sure the Deshaies info will add to the sibling side of the Laplante tribe. you can send the info as a gedcom file,or as text. Any gedcom files my genealogy program (Reunio 8 for the Mac) will open easily; If you want my Laplante suff i can send that to you for comparison . All for now ,just toucing base with you to let you know you are not forgotten. John Laplante Notify Administrator about this message?
