John, Thank you for my Marie Josephe's birth information. Every bit helps. It is hard to believe that she was only 15 when she got married. I guess that was common in those days. She died 22 Feb 1849 in St. Gregoire, Nicolet, Québec, Canada. If you want more information on her husband or children do let me know.

I have 5 children for Joseph Laplante and Marie-Louise Cottret-dit-Descoudrays and all their ancestors. Marie-Josephe was the only one that I could not find a birth date for. I have birth information on her siblings but no death information.

I have 12 Apr 1758 for a wedding date for Joseph and Marie Louise. Tanguay is the only one as far as I know that has 11 Apr 1758. He may have used a contract date. I have one wedding page of the St.Jean Baptiste,Nicolet for some of the Laplantes and it says the 12th. Also I have confirmed all my files with PRDH and they have the 12th.

I am a member of American Canadian Genealogical Society in Manchester,NH. I live in Oregon, so I have over the years paid them to do a great deal of my direct lines and single marriage research. It would cost me too much to pay for the birth information as well. I envy you living so close to the society. All 8 of my great great grandparents come from Québec, so the Society has done a lot of work for me.

Because of the large number of spelling variations of names in the old days, I have deceided to use the most common spelling as in PRDH.

Once again thanks. Janet
