I just found this site and thought I'd pass on some info.
If your researching the Laplante name and are stuck on something try. http://www.geocities.com/sauvefamilyhistory/.And also a site at Planete Quebec under Jean Sauve's genealogy.
Three lines in the Sauve family tree carried dit Laplante for quite awhile.Some dropped it all together.Some of the lines some folks are looking for in this forum are well documented at these two sites.If anyone would like my help just ask.I've been researching the Sauve line for three years now.There are almost 30 Sauve name variations in North America alone.Mine is one of them.
