Christine: Well, let's try this then, my Uncle Frank is the youngest boy in the LaPlante family of Bella Genaille, and Albert/Norbert LaPlante, the Indian Agent changed my Grandfathers' name to Albert cos that's how he heard it. He's been Albert for many years, he was born in 1896 I'm not sure where though. His brothers I am going to have to get a list from my Mother but the ones I remember are Joe, Pat, Phillip, sisters, Nellie who moved to New York, MaryJane (I think), and Mary, those are the ones I remember anyway. The whole family seemed to live mainly in San Clara, or near Roblin Manitoba or thereabouts, with one or two cousins in Bogey Creek Manitoba.
I don't think that my Uncle Frank is a relative of yours, because he married Pearl (I forget her German last name) and lived in Manitoba all of their married lives. He's the second youngest boy in the family, and married around 1959 or so.
