Dear Patrick:

I forgot to mention that the Badaillac/Laplante tree has been submitted to the Family History Centre. You can access the information by going to www.familysearch.com. It is an excellent site but the dates and names should be verified.

I was in St. Hyacinthe 18 months ago trying to find some roots. I did not succeed.

I was looking for descendants of my grandfather or great grandfather's brothers/sisters.

My grandfather was Francois Xavier Laplante, from the records I obtained from Le Petit Seminaire, he was one of 13 children born to Antoine Laplante and Lucie Laporte.

Antoine was the son of Jean Baptiste Laplante and Angelique Rodier.

Jean Baptiste was the son of Jean Baptiste Laplante and Marguerite St. Germain.

Do these names appear in your tree?

The people we met at your local Historical Society were very helpful, going out of their way to obtain and copy material for me as I was in the area for only a few days. I purchased the latest local history, prepared for the 300th anniversary of the founding of the City. A very informative book.

Rita
