Dear Jess, I am trying to find Casimier LaPlante who married Olive, and in all my reading on this forum, I thought I had a different Casimier. Then, I found in your message that his third wife was Olive, and there we are!! My husband is descended from this marriage through their son, Octave. I would very much appreciate any information that you can send me on Casimier. Incidently, is that the right spelling? Or, since so many people spelled names so differently, does it really matter!? I am glad we aren't descended from Eusebe since there seems to be a difference of opinion about his place on the line. The 1860 census has four of Casimier and Olive's children born in Canada and the last one, Charles, born in Illinois. Do you know where in Canada that might have been? And do you have any information about Olive? Many thanks for your help. My best, Betsy Ann Mathieu bbmathieu@jps.net.
