In the 1870 US census there is a Francis Stone in Malone Ny. which is close to Champlain.His family is listed as
Martha: 32
Francis: 11
Joseph: 10
Martha: 9
Lucy: 7
Henri: 4
Louis: 7/12
Francis was born in Canada and was 33 years of age.
