Lapham Family Genealogy Forum

Hello, Nick...I am responding to your posting regarding Peleg Slocum Lapham. I am a serious Lapham researcher (1 4- volume Lapham genealogy & a free monthly Lapham newsletter). I can follow along with you for the first 5 generations of Peleg's ancestral line, supply dates & most of the wives' maiden names, but--unfortunately-- my sources do not include the family of JOseph Lapham (1787-1872), who is my # L-6411. Joseph was married to Levina Howland, but the names of the children are not recorded. He died in Attica, Seneca County, OH. Therefore, I cannot tell you if Peleg had a brother named Robert. If you are interested in earlier data, I'd be happy to oblige whenever I can.
If you will send me your home address, I'd be glad to send you a back issue of my Lapham newsletter. Actually, I'm very excited to have come across your posting, as a "have" on my mailing list, very few people who are descended from Nicholas Lapham (1689-1758) in the 2nd generation. Those I have found have not been forthcoming with materials for the newsletter--so you kust might open up a whole new chapter for me. I'd appreciate it very much if you could send me your line from Peleg slocum Lapham down to yourself, with individuals' dates & locations wherever possible.
Looking forward, very much, to hearing from you. PHYLLIS KITSON. E-MAIL ADDRESS: <Hoodis75@aol.com>
