I am looking for information regarding my mother's (Elsie Lape) father. I think his name was Edward. He married a woman named Lettie and they had six children. They lived for a time in Steprock, AK and then moved to Hood River, OR where he became a farmer but faailed at that. Some of his other children were Helen, Marie, Kelly, Ronald and Otis. He used to tell of his childhood in the south along the Mississippi where he earned money by dancing on the docks when the river boats went past. People would throw him money for his dancing. If you know anything about hime-- I would appreciate hearing from you. I know very little about him and nothing about his family.
