Yes I am still in Germany.
Yes the folks who have the info online got it from me and I have seen trees with that Adam Lanzer. As of yet I have not been able to determine whether that is correct or not.
If this Adam Lanzer is the son of Friederich & Marie, then he was not born in Dörrmoschel (or his birth was not noted).Valentin is noted in 1810 in Dörrmoschel. That book actually starts around 1799.
I freely share any info I get while researching my line.Even if I come across things that are not in my tree.
If you want me to do research specifically for you, I do ask a little for expenses.Rockenhausen is almost an hour drive and Reipoltskirchen is over an hour.Gas here costs over eight bucks a gallon...
The records are divided by towns in the area, most have no indexes. Some towns did attempt to index, but not very well.Names were just grouped together and just added in as the info came in.If the "Lanzers" over-ran the section they were listed, they started a new section for them somewhere else under the "L".
Knowing the town and time frame really helps.
Rockenhausen (which has only one research room) is booked for tomorrow.I haven't been able to contact Reipoltskirchen yet.
