I am curious as to how long this list as been in operation. Reason being is......does anyone know or suspect that this surname was once something other than Lantron?? I find a Lantron family that went from Lantern to Lantron 1850-1860. I started a LANTHRUM list and no one ever joined but me and my long lost cousin. I believe it's because our name changed from, so far, Lantern or Lantron to Lantrum to Lanthrum and we are the only ones using the latter spelling.
What other variations are there? Landrum? Latham? Lathram? Lathrum?
