Hello- My name is Sapientia Lanoue and I live near Albany, NY. Ever since I was little I was told I was part Cherokee by my fater, Robert Gordan Lanoue, and grandfather, Robert Lanoue. (there are a lot of roberts in my family) I know I am French from some research I have done, but I have not been able to peice together my Cherokee anscestry.
Anyway- I was wondering if anyone has ever traced this theory back in the Lanoue family(or La Noue as I sometimes see it spelled). I am VERY interested in the aspect of my family's past and any info you could give my would be MUCHO appreciated.
