My last name by birth is Lanoue. When our father passed away we saw some old paperwork with variations on the name of LENEAU and some around the change of the century of LANOU. I believe the family came from Quebec down through the North Adams, Mass area to Rhode Island. I've also seen notes here with variations of mothers maiden name Remillard (Romulard). Anyone out there may be related? Father's First name William. I know of one of his relatives was/is Joseph Lanoue, possibly in Conn.
