Robert Lanning was born (Abt 1843)in Ireland to George and Katherine Lanning. They came to USA in 1851 and settled in NY before evetually moving to MI for a while, the NY and PA. George and Katherine had 5 children, Robert, William, Susan, Katherine, Eliza. After the 1855 New York census, Robert seems to disappear. Does anyone have a Robert Lanning in their family with these origins? William was born in Ireland about 1846, and after 1855 may have moved to MI. There are several William Lannings in various US census, but difficult to establish family ties. Any information on either Robert or William would be greatly appreciated. I have information on their siblings.
