Here's the information taht you requested.
ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!
We are now taking orders for “The Lanier Family in the United States: A Genealogical Compilation of the Descendants of the Immigrant Brothers John and Robert Lanier, Vol. I:John (son of John, the immigrant) and Elizabeth Bird Lanier.”
This is a Lanier-L Genealogy Discussion Group project and represents a compilation of Lanier lines that have been submitted by many Lanier researchers.
DETAILS ABOUT THE BOOK
* “The Lanier Family in the United States:A Genealogical Compilation of the Descendants of the Immigrant Brothers John and Robert Lanier, Vol. I:John (son of John, the immigrant) and Elizabeth Bird Lanier” has more than 700 pages. This is larger than Ingersoll’s book.More than 9700 individual names are included.
*40 people submitted the research included in the book.
*The book includes:a title page, a table of contents, a list of the book committee, submitters’ names and contact information, an introduction and guide to using the compilation, the submitted Lanier lines (the bulk of the book), and an index of names included in the book.
*The book will be printed double-sided with velo binding (plastic cover with a plastic-pronged device binding the spine).
*Following a growing trend in genealogy, private information (dates, places, etc.) will not be included for living people. We have conservatively chosen December 31, 1899 as the cutoff date for including information about the living. This means that anyone born after 12/31/1899 will have no dates, unless a death date is given. The submitter’s name and contact information is included, however, so that you will be able to contact them for additional information.
*The compilation is copyrighted by the compiler for Lanier-L.For Volume I, the copyright is held by Lois Kleinhenn Lanier. The title page will include this:“COMPILED BY LOIS KLEINHENN LANIER FOR LANIER-L GENEALOGY DISCUSSION LIST HOSTED BY ROOTSWEB GENEALOGICAL DATA COOPERATIVE” and “Copyright 2000, Lois Kleinhenn Lanier for Lanier-L Genealogy Discussion List.”
All profits will be given to Rootsweb, which hosts our discussion list.If that is not possible, profits will be donated to a genealogical organization that benefits Lanier researchers.
