Looking for the parents of Sarah A. M. Lanier born abt. 1804 in Georgia. Her mother was Sarah, born between 1760 and 1770. A John I. Lanier (I believe to be her brother) left a Will in Bibb Co. in Will Book "A" pg 42, proved July 26, 1837; names "his mother" (but does not give her name), N. B. Beard, Josephine Beard, and Sarah Beard; Susan Lanier, John M. Simmons (son of Thomas Simmons and Sarah A. M. Lanier-Simmons); Cathy Ann Dofson, dau of Thos. B. Porter; and Sarah Simmons (may have been dau of Thomas Simmons & Sarah A. M. Lanier as they had a dau, Sarah, born abt the time of this Will or may have been Sarah A.M., herself). Sarah Beard m. George W. Craft on Mar 3, 1840 (Bibb Co) and N. B. Beard m. Susan L. Lanier on May 21, 1842 (Bibb Co). N. B. Beard & Susan (Lanier) are living right next door to Thomas Simmons & Sarah A.M. (Lanier) Simmons in the 1850 Census of Bibb Co., GA. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Would love to connect up with my Lanier cousins as well.
