I'm searching for my grandfather's family. His name is Coleman Loyd or Lloyd. His mother's name was Virginia Lane from SC. It is believed she married a Lanier, gave birth to my grandfather in Millen GA in 1895, divorced and remarried a man named John Lloyd and went to Tennesee where my grandfather was raised. However, it's possible the divorce could have happened before my grandfather was born. But it's generally held in our family that it was changed with her remarriage to John Lloyd. Does anyone have any information on this?
