Hi Bonnie!
There seem to be several generations mixed together here. This is what I think your ancestry probably looks like:
Andrew Langworthy (born around 1642 in Devon, England; died around 1690 in Rhode Island) married Rachel Hubbard (born 1642 in Springfield, Mass; died 1712 in Westerly, Rhode Island)
They had four sons:
Samuel
John
Andrew (some say Robert; I think that’s wrong)
James
Several of these guys had descendants named John, born around 1787. The closest seem to be:
John (born 1787, died 1840 in Warrensburg, NY). Married Susan Geer and had 13 or 14 children (!): Arlia, William, Robert, Laura, Cynthia, John, Miles, George, Jane, Kezia, etc.
John (born 1788 in Easton, NY; died 1867 in Lancaster, NY). Married Eunice Thurber and had eight children: James, Ira, Cynthia, Eunice, Betsey, John, Henry, etc.
Does either of these seem ‘familiar’? If so, I can help fill in the generations between Andrew and your John. If not, perhaps you can supply some more info about John (born around 1787).
Hal
