spot on, our Charles joined the marines and moved to portsmouth. His decendants stayed in Portsmouth which is where my Father was born.

My source for the newbury langtons is mainly from a parish registers of st. nicolas of Newbury and Speen.

Would be interesting to know the conflicting info you have and its source. Its possible of course that there was a second wife...

I plan to publish what i have online on a dedicated website in the next few months. So i'll make sure you get the link.
