Hi Joel,

Thanks for your prompt follow up to my posting, it is always good to make new contacts and put a few more pieces of the ever growing puzzle in place.

After I posted my message the other day I read your other postings and saw that some of your ancestors lived in Portsmouth. So with this information I deduced that your family line went back via Charles Langton who lived in Portsmouth & who was the son of Thomas b.1795 and Mary (nee Mason).

Thank you very much for the information you sent re our ancestors back to William Langton b.ca 1650, yes that is an approximate date and I have no information at this moment in time to substantiate it. Basically the information I have, follows along the same lines, apart from Joseph b. 1722 and his marriage date where I have seen conflicting information. However I can only offer that as a comment as unfortunately my research from the actual parish registers stopped at that point, when I moved away from England.

On the positive side I will send you a 'genealogy report' by e-mail over the next day or so, in order that you can see more detailed info re Charlotte and her descendants, which I am more than happy to share with you.

In the meantime I wish you a very Happy New Year and will contact you again shortly.

With best wishes
Richard
