Hello Jim: Thank you for the followup on Dominick Langton. I am not sure he is my ancestor. All I am sure of is that Dominic Langton and hos wife Mary Ellen Smith appear in the census of the Ninth Ward of New Orleans and list their birth place as Ireland. I have not been able to find out where in Ireland, what shipthey came here on, when they came or where they landed. He is my Great grandfather.

I am shooting in the dark as to whether the Dominick Langton in the 1810 census of New York is his father.

I have researched everything I can think of in New Orleans. The only other record of ith
Dominic and MAry is the 1867 NO City Directory which shows there residence. He apparently died before 1870 and Mary died about 1900.

Thanks for your interest.
