Hi Adela. I am a descendant of the Langtons of Langton by Partney, LIN. We have a good idea of our descent, and also claim kinship with the good archbishop. However, given that you (and another site I visited) say that Stephen was from the langtons of Langton by Wragby, it makes me wonder:
i.is our claim to him wishful thinking? OR
ii. are the two sets of LIN Langtons (plus those of Horncastle) related?
Do you have a descent of the Langton by Wragby Langtons? I know Stephen was the son of a Henry, but that is all I know of this line.
Our line does not list brothers in the early generations, so I cannot tell if Henry was a brother to one of our line or not.
In short, I would love to know. cheers
