Justin,

If you can get access to James Boswell's "Life of Dr. Johnson", you will find plenty of references to Bennet Langton. Langton lived in the Lincolnshire (England) village of Langton-by-Spilsby. The house he lived in (late Elizabethan) no longer exists, although the foundations were discovered in 2005.

A copy of "Burke's Landed Gentry" will give you his family tree - there are one or two errors!!

The Website www.documemntsonline.nationalarchives.gov.uk
should gibe you access to to his will. This is on pdf and can be downloaded for 3-50.
I've posted this info. once, but it hasn't show in the posted messages.
David
