Langtons: Wigan Ince and Newburgh

I am tracting LANGTONS who lived in Ince and Wigan England from around 1870 and before that lived in Newburgh Lancs England. Main occupation was that of boatpeople and mining.

My GM was Elllen Langton 1897 - 1979
My GGF was William Langton b1853
and my GGGF was Thomas Langton 1829 dead by 1876

Any information would be useful.

I have also come across a Lowe Hall in Platt Bridge Wigan, the next village to Ince in Makerfield. This was owned by LANGTONS until the late 1700s and I wondered if anyone was researching this family.

Regards

Tony
