Dear Jim

I too, have a claim to Stephen Langton, Arch Bishop of
Canterbury, my father often mentioned it, but I have no
proof, he emphasised "direct" decendants. Anyway, my
gggG'parents were from Kensington, Middlesex, they were
James Stephens Langton born in 1815, Mary Ann Langton
(Phillips) born 1817, married in St James Church
Paddington on 3/10/1836. James Stephens Langton's parents
were Thomas Langton and Mary Ann Stephens, Mary Ann Phillips
were John Phillips, mother unknown. Any information you
can give me would be greatly appreciated.
