No, John Langston III was NOT married to a Mary Yeats/Yeates, and he didn't have a daughter named Ruth. He had 2 wives: Ann Agnes Mangum (mother of John IV, d/o John Mangum & Frances Bennett) and Elizabeth Person(s). From what I've seen from other researchers, this Yeats/Yeates connection comes from Bertie Co., NC, where Leonard Langston (d. 1763; uncle of John III) lived -- and, coincidentally, had a wife named Martha whose maiden name is not known. I've seen no evidence that John Langston III ever lived in Bertie Co., although he did live in the nearby county of Edgecombe.
