FRANCES LANGSTON that married CHARLES ROBERTS, JR. 12 Jan 1782 in Granville Co., NC. is the daughter of JOSEPH LANGSTON and AGNES RAGLAND (widow of STEPHEN MERRITT).
FRANCES is a sister to RAGLAND LANGSTON that married LAODECIA "DICEY" MAULDING.
FRANCES and CHARLES moved to Logan Co., Ky. about 1811. CHARLES died in 1813 in Logan County. Ky. From 1813 to 1840 when FRANCES died there were depositions before the court due to their minor son, LANGSTON ROBERTS, being alive and then suddenly dying before the estate was settled. In the depositions of the ROBERTS family, two daughters of FRANCES and CHARLES gave depositions and referred to "OLD UNCLE" RAGLAND LANGSTON.
Many researchers have never made the connection that FRANCES LANGSTON ROBERTS and RAGLAND LANGSTON are brother and sister. Therefore the children of JOSEPH LANGSTON and AGNES RAGLAND MERRITT.
FRANCES and CHARLES are my 5th great grand parents. I wanted to share this info with the forum.
