Hi Wayne,
It looks to me like we have 2 different Thomas and Elizabeth Langman families.
Your Thomas being born in Beer Ferris and my Thomas being born 1807 in Broadwoodwidger,Devon. Your Elizabeth's maiden name being Chapman and my Elizabeth's maiden name being Tapscott born in 1807 in Chumleigh,Devon.

According to my research:-
My Thomas Langman and Elizabeth Tapscott married 29 Oct. 1832 in West Buckland, Devon and had Children:-
Edwin born 1836 married Susan Woof,George born 1843 married Priscilla Jane Burgess, Ruth born 1845 married Richard Matthews,Jane born 1843 married William Kellaway,Betsy born 1841 married Joseph Baker,Thomas born 1850 married #1 Elizabeth Lashbrooke,Mar 1879 in Okehampton,Devon #2 Jane Clock. They also had George born 1835 died 1839 and Thomas born 1838 died 1839. All the children were born at Broadwoodwidger,Devon.
I have also found on the 1861 census for North Petherwin,Launceston,Cornwall a William Langman age 35, born Broadwoodwidger,Devon and am wondering if this could be a brother to my Thomas Langman.
I hope this helps in some small way to locate and or connect our ancestors. As for the origins of the Langman name it appears to have started as Longman in 1500 and 1550 in North Devon according to the Langman list achives at the following url:
