Lorenzo Dow Langley OH & PA

I'm trying to figure out who are the parents & the first wife of Lorenzo Dow Langley. According to his death certificate, he was born 22 Feb 1856 in New Lyme, Ohio. Parents were listed as unknown but both were said to be born in CT. In the 1860 census, he's found living with Reuben & Rhoda Langley.

Source Citation: Year: 1860; Census Place: Bristol, Trumbull, Ohio; Roll: M653_1040; Page: 174; Image: 351.

Ruben Langler 55 M Farmer OH
Rhoda 51 F OH

Lorenzo 3 M OH

I've been able to find out that Reuben's first wife was Melicent Scovill and that she died in 1853. Rhoda, his second wife, seems like she would be too old to be the mother of Lorenzo. Lorenzo always talked about an Aunt Rhodie. Could Reuben and Rhoda be relatives that took him in after his parents died?

Lorenzo Langley married (2) Mary Catherine Baker abt. 1892. They raised their family in the Sharon, PA area. According to family lore, Lorenzo's wife (name unknown) died and he had to give the kids away. I've been unable to find Lorenzo in the 1880 census. I was hoping that might give some clues to his first wife and their children.

I'd appreciate any information that anyone has on the family.

Thank you,
Tina Hursh
