Re: Thomas Langley & Esther Kitchen

For years have gathered info about a Thomas Langley who married Esther Kitchen, hoping to find some relationship to my Langley line, but to no avail. However what I have does not match your data. The Thomas I found was born 1788 in Caswell Co., NC, and married Esther Oct. 25 1813 in same county. She was born about 1787 also in Caswell Co. They made their way to Gwinnett Co., GA, possibly as early as 1830 where a Thomas Langley is enumerated in the census at age 40 to 50. Other household members are not listed by name as was the case with that census year, but the age bracket for them compares well to the children of Thomas and Esther. Thomas and Esther are found in the 1860 census of Goodwins Dist., Gwinnett Co., dwelling #571. They lived in the Suwanee Post Office area. That is the last census I find Thomas or Esther. Their children are said to be James J., Thomas, William, Margaret and some say Sarah Ann Barbara. The names of these children Sarah was listed in their household in the 1850 census, but no others were living with them.
